How to create a product

Add a reusable catalog item with price, VAT rate, and optional default discount for invoices and quotes.

Catalog products store reusable billing details. See how to manage products and services and how to edit a product to maintain items.

Open the new product form

  1. Select Products in the left navigation.
  2. Select New product.

Enter catalog details

  1. Enter the product or service name and optional description.
  2. Set the net unit price and currency.
  3. Choose the VAT rate that should apply by default.
  4. Optionally configure a default line discount.
  5. Assign categories when you group catalog items.

Save the product

  1. Select Create to add the item to your catalog.
  2. Open the product later to edit price, VAT, or active status.
