How to create and manage quotes

Prepare customer quotes, send them for approval, and convert accepted quotes into invoices.

Quotes let you share pricing before issuing a formal invoice. See how to create a quote, how to send a quote, and how to convert a quote to invoice.

Open quotes

  1. Expand Sales in the left navigation.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Review status tabs such as draft, sent, accepted, and converted.

Create a quote

  1. Select New quote.
  2. Choose the customer and add line items, VAT, and optional terms.
  3. Save the quote as a draft while you finish the details.
  4. Send the quote when the customer should review it.

After sending

  1. Mark a quote as Accepted or Rejected when the customer responds.
  2. Use Convert to invoice on sent or accepted quotes to create a draft invoice.
  3. Open the converted invoice to issue and send it like any other bill.
